Online registration is strongly encouraged at www.springwildflowerpilgrimage.org. The majority of available slots for programs have been held for online registration. Parties of ten or more people wishing to sign up for an identical program need to refer to the “Phone & Group Registration” portion of this brochure.
Online registration will begin on 03/09/2009 at 9 AM Eastern Time (ET) and will close on 04/17/2009 at 4 PM ET. After 04/17/2009 , registration for programs is closed until on-site registration begins on 04/21/2009 . Changes in registered programs can only be made at on-site registration.
The website will have the latest information on Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage events.
Phone & Group Registration*
Limited staff will be available for phone registration, so you may encounter delays. Therefore online registration is strongly encouraged. Only 20% of the available slots for programs have been held for phone registration.
Groups of 10 or more people can only register for identical programs by phone. There is no on-site or online registration for groups. If members of your group wish to participate individually in events other than those assigned to the group, they must register individually.
Phone registration will begin on 03/09/2009 and will close on 04/17/2009 . After 04/17/2009 , registration for programs is closed until on-site registration begins on 04/21/2009 . To register by phone, call (865) 436-7318 x 222 (9 AM ET to 4 PM ET weekdays). Changes in registered programs can only be made at on-site registration.
Please have your program choices and alternative selections, as well as your credit card information, in hand when you phone. A handy “Program Planner” is available on page five to record your program choices.
*NOTE: All pilgrimage participants must check in at the On-site Registration Desk at W. L. Mills Conference Center in Gatlinburg, TN to pick up their official 2009 Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage nametag, event schedule, and tickets. These will not be mailed to you. Participants without official nametags will not be allowed on programs or pilgrimage trolleys.
On-site Registration
On-site registration will be held at Mills Conference Center , April 21-25
at the following times:
Tuesday: 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Wednesday-Friday: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
Saturday: 7:00 am - 1:00 pm
Registration Fees
All events are covered by the following registration fees, except where additional costs are noted for special events.
Adult
$30.00 for one day; $50.00 for 2 or more days
Student
$10.00 for one or more days (high school/college status will be verified at on-site registration with ID)
Child (under 12 years of age)
Free (must be accompanied by a registered adult)
Payment may be made with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover credit cards (cash or check at on-site registration only).
Backcountry Hike Suggestions
Backcountry hikes will be led by seasoned hikers and interpreters. Safety is paramount. You should be prepared for a long strenuous day. Carry plenty of water and high-energy food. Your equipment should include functional rain gear, hat, change of socks, fitted broken-in footwear, comfortable pack, and wicking type fabric clothing. Wear clothing in layers so you can add or remove to adjust to weather changes. Include a small first-aid kit, a small flashlight, and toilet paper. Leave heavy cameras, tripods, radios, and other unnecessary weight at home.
